Louvre Bookshelf
The Louvre Shelf pairs solid wood uprights, tapered and grounded, with horizontal shelves in the same wood, their grain running edge to edge across each tier. The shelf takes its name from the architecture of its surface: horizontal shelf after shelf, stacked in a precise rhythm that appears like a series of louvred slats. It is a piece that is as much about interval as it is about storage. Available in two versions: a low, wide configuration that extends along a wall in a single unhurried band, and a taller, narrower form that builds upward in even measures. Both versions carry the same consideration: a framework for the things you live with, whether books, photo frames, travel mementos, or decorative objects, allowing for the slow accumulation of a life that is arranged with care.
