Eixo, Portuguese for axis, refers to the defining intersection where it all clicks in place for the sculpture: the point where two flat aluminium planes slot into one another at a right angle, held by nothing but the precision of the fit. That moment of assembly is the essence of the design.
Each plate is cut from raw aluminium, a material chosen for the high tolerances it allows and the directness of its presence. Given a brushed finish, the matte surface catches light without fully reflecting it, shifting in tone as the day moves. What changes more dramatically is the silhouette: viewed from one angle, the sculpture looks almost like a thin vertical line; rotate it, and a broad organic surface emerges. It is the same object, made new by each step around it.
Equally at home on a shelf, a sideboard, or in open space, the Eixo Sculpture asks only to be placed where light and shadow can do their work.

The natural qualities of the metal could result in variations in color tone and texture. The pieces could present casting marks on the surface, inherent from the handcrafted process, each piece is unique. Observations of such differences across products or orders does not constitute a basis for order cancellation or product returns.
