Théophile de Bascher is a 2024 graduate of ENSAD in Paris who specializes in working with stone, wood, and ceramics. He prioritizes manual shaping and mastering techniques, combining design and sculpture. Théophile began sculpting five years ago carving objects out of tuffeau stone where he sought to free himself from the idea that an object’s form should result from rational thinking, seeking instead to create a formal vocabulary that is sensitive and instinctive.
