Originally from the Basque Country but currently based in Galicia, Idoia Cuesta is a well-respected contemporary basket weaver whose work has reached such a high quality and precision that she counts on renowned global luxury fashion brands as clients. Idoia takes inspiration from art, design, fashion and the Galician countryside landscapes from where she works. She emphasizes the sensory aspect of her creations – the interplay between soft and hard shapes and materials.
